Getting Started

Get Connected in 15 Minutes

Malveon connects to your existing tools over OAuth. Your data stays in the tools you already use. Nothing to migrate, nothing to install on your servers.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have admin access to at least two of the following:

  • Slack workspace
  • GitHub organization
  • Jira or Linear project
  • Datadog account

You do not need all of them on day one. Start with Slack and GitHub. The system works with whatever you connect.

Step 1: Create your Malveon workspace

Go to malveon.com and reserve your spot. Once approved into the private beta, you will receive an invite link to set up your workspace. This takes about two minutes.

Step 2: Connect your first tool

We recommend starting with Slack. This is where most engineering decisions live. Malveon connects via OAuth. It does not post to your channels unless you ask it to.

Click "Connect Slack" in your workspace settings. Authenticate. Select the channels you want Malveon to watch.

That is it for Slack.

Step 3: Connect GitHub

Connect your GitHub organization via OAuth. Malveon reads pull requests, checks, and deployment events. During setup, select which repositories to include. You can add more later.

Step 4: Add your project tracker

Connect Linear or Jira. This is what powers the Malvedeck health engine: real task status, blocked items, and CI correlation.

Step 5: Your first signal

Once Slack and GitHub are connected, open Malve. New activity arrives over webhooks, so you will see discussions surface as your team works.

Once Jira or Linear is connected, open Malvedeck. Project health cards populate as tasks and CI signals arrive.

For Malviont, sign in at app.malveon.com to reach the CI/CD Hub, Attention Tab, and On-Call surfaces. Then install the Fridy VS Code extension from the marketplace: search "Malveon" and install, then sign in with your workspace. Fridy appears in your VS Code status bar.

What you have after setup

  • Slack discussions surfaced in Malve, with decisions captured automatically
  • Real-time project health in Malvedeck from task and CI signals
  • Deploy Safety scanning your commits inside VS Code

Total setup time: about 15 minutes.
